Puerto Natales lies on Last Hope Sound<\/a>, a picturesque fjord which links up to the waterways of Torres del Paine National Park<\/a>, making it a lovely place to leisurely kayak<\/a> out of the park after a challenging week or so of trekking.<\/p>\n

Puerto Natales<\/a> is also a good place to stock up on any last minute gear you might need, buy gas canisters if you’re camping and most importantly, relax at a cosy hotel and enjoy some delicious food before you start your trek. It’s also a nice place to relax after trekking the W Circuit<\/a> or Full Circuit<\/a> and there are a range of hotels at different price points for you to choose from. Hotel If<\/p>\n

Best for: Basic but comfortable<\/p>\n

£106<\/strong> per night for a double room during high season (30th Sep – 30th Apr). Smart, clean, spacious but wihtout the luxury of the Indigo or charm of the Amerindia. However, the owner runs fly fishing tours so if you’re into fly fishing it would be a good place to go.<\/p>\n

Hotel Weskar<\/p>\n

Best for: Mid range accommodation<\/p>\n

£117<\/strong> per night for a double room during high season. In a great location overlooking Last Hope Sound, with a lovely restaurant serving fresh seafood and good meat. Rooms are really comfortable, and some of them have views over Last Hope Sound.<\/p>\n

Hostal Las Dos Lagunas<\/p>\n

Best for: Budget accommodation<\/p>\n

£32<\/strong> per night for a double twin room A cosy hostel run by Alejandro, a true local who invited is for ‘real italian coffee’ when we visited in January. His hostel is definitely a backpackers paradise, there are only 1 or 2 private rooms, and 2 other dorm-style rooms with bunk beds. Still, it’s a great place to meet like minded people, but it’s pretty small and old fashioned, so not necessarily a place for privacy and relaxing.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hotel Indigo<\/p>\n

Best for: luxury<\/p>\n

£161 <\/span><\/strong> per night for a standard double room during high season (16th November to 14th March). This boutique hotel offers modern, spacious and quirky rooms with open plan private bathrooms, and access to the hotel’s luxurious spa at the top of the hotel with a sauna, treatment rooms, jacuzzis and relaxing beds. It is also attached to a lovely bar and restaurant called Mama Rosa’s, where you can get pizza, pasta and other pastry, meat and seafood dishes.<\/p>\n

Hostal Amerindia <\/a><\/p>\n

Best for: Mid range, comfortable accommodation<\/p>\n

£50 per night for a standard double room with private bathroom. What we love about Amerindia is the authentic, friendly atmosphere here and the rooms which have small touches like fresh flowers, lamps and wall hangings. It’s located in the centre of town and it only has 13 rooms, making it a small, intimate hotel.<\/p>\n
