He returned in July, and here is what he had to say about their\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.swoop-patagonia.com\/5-day-winter-adventure-torres-del-paine\/\">5 Day W Trek<\/a>\u2026<\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swoop-patagonia.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/Thomas-cochrane-Winter-W.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-195136\" alt=\"Thomas cochrane Winter W\" src=\"https:\/\/www.swoop-patagonia.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/Thomas-cochrane-Winter-W.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"531\" \/><\/a>How was your experience overall?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><em>I loved my time in the Park, the itinerary was great, wouldn&#8217;t want it any shorter though, not because I felt rushed but because I would have liked to spend more time there!<\/em><\/p>\n<p><b>How were your guides?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><em>Carlos, the guide, was one of the best things about the hike. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, open and easy going- a great guy. Not sure what to say, he was just fantastic!<\/em><\/p>\n<p><b>What was your highlight of the trip?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><em>It&#8217;s hard to pin any one thing down as the highlight of the trip, so I would say it was that overall isolation and rugged terrain of the park in Winter. Without the crowds it felt much more off the beaten path and an authentic experience.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swoop-patagonia.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/thomas-cochrane-3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-195137\" alt=\"thomas cochrane 3\" src=\"https:\/\/www.swoop-patagonia.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/thomas-cochrane-3.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"680\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>Do you have any advice or recommendations for other travellers?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><em>I don&#8217;t really have any tips for travellers, I felt like all the information I was provided from Swoop was sufficient.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>My only recommendation would be to reiterate to prospective tourists that visiting Torres del Paine in Winter is a beautiful in its own right, and has many benefits as opposed to the Summer trips.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>There is a lot of negative information on the Internet about visiting in the Winter, and it would be easy to be scared off.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swoop-patagonia.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/thomas-cochrane-4.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-195139\" alt=\"thomas cochrane 4\" src=\"https:\/\/www.swoop-patagonia.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/thomas-cochrane-4.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"531\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>Is there anything you would change about your trip?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><em>Not really unsatisfied with anything in the trek, except that bad weather made it difficult for us to experience Valle de Frances, but this isn&#8217;t really avoidable.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><b>How did Swoop do?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><em>You were great &#8211; thanks again for helping me have such an amazing experience in Patagonia.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swoop-patagonia.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/thomas-cochrane-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-195138\" alt=\"thomas cochrane 2\" src=\"https:\/\/www.swoop-patagonia.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/thomas-cochrane-2.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"531\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Thomas recently embarked on a trip to\u00a0Torres del Paine in Winter.
