Rob and Amy returned in January 2015 from a Trek in Torres del Paine<\/a> followed by some excursions in Ushuaia<\/a>. Here they tell us about their experiences on the trip and in booking with Swoop and our partners\u2026<\/p>\n

How were Swoop Patagonia?<\/b><\/p>\n

You guys put together a fabulous trip for us in Patagonia and your recommendations for Ushuaia in particular were spot on.<\/p>\n

I don’t think you could or should do anything differently – your communication is perfectly clear and timely and both of your partners receive our highest marks. \u00a0By all means I would recommend you to friends and family.<\/p>\n

How was your W Trek in Torres del Paine<\/b><\/p>\n

The W Trek<\/a> was exactly as promised. \u00a0The self-guided version<\/a> was great for us and was well explained by your partners at the start when they met us at their office in Puerto Natales. \u00a0Moreover, they were able to secure dinner reservations for us the night before our trek – New Years Eve – at a fantastic restaurant in Puerto Natales – that’s service!<\/p>\n

How was the Accommodation during your W Trek?<\/b><\/p>\n

Our accommodations<\/a> in Puerto Natales (Amerindia) were perfect, and the refugios on the trek exceeded our expectations. \u00a0How did we get a double room for our last night? \u00a0So awesome! \u00a0The cabin upgrade was so worthwhile. In comparing the price of our trip with other travellers – we got the better deal!<\/p>\n

What was the highlight of your W Trek?<\/b><\/p>\n

Well, crystal clear weather at the Torres – 2 hours of brilliant blue sky while we lounged by the lake! \u00a0Wow!<\/p>\n

Do you have any tips for other travellers planning a trip?<\/b><\/p>\n

Use Swoop and their partners in Chile! The W-trek is not a wilderness experience as there are lots of people but the scenery is breath-taking.<\/p>\n

How was your day trip in Ushuaia?<\/b><\/p>\n

Swoop\u2019s partners in Ushuaia did a great job on our day trip. The guide was very knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna, geology and history. It was a little expensive for a day hike but this company has it dialled in!<\/p>\n

Did you visit anywhere else during your trip?<\/b><\/p>\n

We visited El Calafate<\/a> and did the Big Ice trek on Perito Merino<\/a>. We also spent 8 days on the Valvilov<\/a> in Antarctica<\/a> and finished off with 2 days in Buenos Aires<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Is there anything you would change about your trip?<\/b><\/p>\n

We wish we had made time for FitzRoy<\/a> – next trip – and, we will contact you guys before we go.<\/p>\n

We might have added an extra day onto the W-Trek but it was totally doable in the 4-night time frame you arranged.<\/p>\n
