Operator's Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive at our Riverside Lodge on the banks of the Rio Cochamó. Check in, take a relaxing stroll, meet our guides, and enjoy a three-course dinner. Overnight in cabaña. (L, T, D) Day 2 After a hearty breakfast, we load our gear on horses and set off through the fields and rainforest, along a centuries-old trail carved by gauchos, missionaries, & bandits. We make a quick stop for a picnic lunch, and continue on to the La Junta valley. Tea and fresh cake await on the terrace of the Mountain Lodge. Enjoy a traditional dinner; overnight at lodge. (B, L, T, D) Day 3 Today, spend the day exploring the La Junta valley – hiking easy or challenging trails; swishing down a natural waterslide, swimming in rock pools. Of, relax and catch up on some reading. Overnight at Mountain Lodge. (B, L, T, D) Day 4 This morning, say farewell to the granite mountains, and head back down the river canyon, to sea level. After returning to Riverside Lodge, enjoy refreshments before departure. (B, L, T)

This trip can run as a group trip, with prices starting from $0 per person for a complete group. If you are looking to join a group or you are a solo traveller we will help to form likeminded groups of travellers. Please let us know your travel plans.

The trip can also run on a private basis to fit around your plans. Departures may be tailored and can be set up on a date of your choice. Please note that there is a higher price for smaller groups. Please enquire for further details.
