5 Day Winter W Trek in June 2013

Suhel was one of our adventurous customers who embarked on a trip to Torres del Paine in Winter. He returned in June, and here is what he had to say about her 5 Day W Trek

What was the highlight of your trip to Patagonia?

It snowed on the first day of our trek and the Torres del Paine looked absolutely beautiful in the snow (see attached picture).

Do you have any tips for people doing the same trip you did?

Yes, if you do this trip, be flexible with your schedule, including flight timings to get to Punta Arenas. I flew with LAN and TAM on this trip via Rio and Santiago. There were issues with fog in Santiago, which resulted a diversion to Cordoba (Argentina) and snow in Punta Arenas that resulted in flight cancellations for almost 24hrs.

How was your guide?

The guide was very friendly and spoke English well, although perhaps he should be more mindful that not everyone can trek at his speed.

How well did Swoop Patagonia do helping you plan your holiday, and finding the best trip or operator for you?

Quite simply fantastic! Everyone went the extra mile to support me in planning and making this trip happen.

Was there anything that you wish had happened differently/or not happened at all?

No, thanks for all your help!
