Starting in Buenos Aires. You'll be picked-up from airport and transfer to comfortable accommodation. The rest of the day can be used to relax or sight seeing...
We'll have a group meeting after breakfast , and then we can go out to enjoy an exciting day in Buenos Aires !!

- Visit Palermo Huge Park, and join the "portenos" (as the city inhabitants are known) in their daily walk !
- Recoleta Cemetery - You'll find Evitas grave there + on Sunday there is Craft Market + Street Preformers.
- Feria Mataderos (Big Market) -At Barrio Mataderos, not to be missed !!
End the day with pizza/asado or pancake evening dinner with a local family.
Visit St Elmos + Craft market + Art Gallery +Plaza Dorrego (all in one place!!) then we say goodbye to BA! We go to Retiro bus station, and we take a bus to the Patagonia town of Bariloche leaving midday and arrive in Bariloche next morning. This trip we love because of the stunning sceneries we will travel through.
Arrive Bariloche around 10am, we'll settle in. Everyone will then meet at the plaza for a picnic of "empanadas and vino tinto", (a very traditional Argentinian picnic) then a group meeting to assess all the gear to be ready for the trekking. The rest of the day can be spent by exploring the beautiful village of Bariloche and doing a quick shop for our food for the 2 day hike.
We'll start the day early, to go and tackle the Lynch-Frey Trek, 1700m high, two days trek, Grade B from Villa Catedral, A combination of rugged mountains, cool lakes and pleasant forest. Excellent views of the glaciers Cerro Tronador, will walk 4/5 hours. Will camp at the shores of the lake.
After breakfast, you will hike back to Villa Catedral, stop for a divine lunch there, wait for our van to fetch us, and take us back to our accommodation. The rest of the day can be spent on your own leisure.
Next morning we depart to El Bolson, 11h30am to the south of Parque Nacional Nahuel Huapi, then get a ride to Lago Puelo, get settled in our accommodation,and enjoy the rest of the day strolling on the beaches of Rio Azul.
The next morning we will walk/take a ride to the little village of Lago Puelo (1km from accommodation) to explore and do the shopping of food for our incoming hike.
And here is where the fun begin !! we start the 2 day trek of Senda Los Hitos. This trek fords the R?o Azul and will lead us (five kilometers) to Arroyo Las L?grimas, where through-hikers to Chile can complete Argentine border formalities. Walking time this day 3/4 hours. We will spend the night camping in a grassy field, by the shore of Arroyo las Lagrimas.
In the morning, after breakfast, we start hiking farther west, to Chilean Carabineros where we will finish our paperwork. That day we aim to walk 6/7 hours, Grade B. Camp in the Chilean wilderness !
Today, we walk until we reach Rio Puelo, and shout to Juan, the farmer across the river to come and fetch us with his boat and take us across the river. We will walk to Segundo Corral, spend the night there.
Today we travel by bus/van through Llanada Grande, then to the shores of the lake Tagua-Tagua, where we take the ferry to Puelo village, from there, a bus will take us to Cochamo. Get settled in our accommodation. Explore the stunning village of Cochamo.
A van will take us to the small town of Puerto Varas, to spend the day.
Today, we depart from Cochamo, a van will take us to the start of our trail, Gaucho Trail, Grades B/C from the Pacific across the Andes onto a plateau of lakes, waterfalls, rivers and ancient forests. Follow the legendary 300 year old pioneer trail, a horse path, once used by Indians, Spaniards, Missionaries and the notorious outlaw duo Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.. You will walk through the pristine wilderness of the Andes passing granite mountain peaks, 3000 year old Alerce forest and the amazing variety of wildlife. Today it is used by gauchos and their families who drive their cattle between pastures on the Patagonian frontier. We will walk to our first camp, Refugio Cochamo, the conditions here get very muddy if its raining. Will walk about 6/7 hours.
This day we will enjoy a slow pace - We will rest and explore La Junta.
We got an early start, after a wonderful breakfast, we hike to our next camp, Refugio El Arco, 6/8 hours.
From here we hike to the shores of Lago Vidal Gormaz. 6/8 hours. We will camp at a farmers lawn, and use his stables to make a fire, dry our gear (if it was raining) and cook our suppers.
A very easy hike of 2/3 hours to the other side of Lago Vidal Gormaz, where we will make an early camp, at the farm of Amelia and Soto, she will cook us supper, and we will eat in her house.
Today we hike all the way to El Leon, we will spend the night at a local farm just before crossing the bridge to Carabineros, walking 4/5 hours.
A van will take us to the highway, to take the bus to Bariloche. Will arrive in Bariloche afternoon. Out for a group supper.
