Overall, how was your trip?

The highlight was the cruise around Terra del Fuego on the Australis. The landscapes around El Chalten and in Torres del Paine were exceptional, the glaciers were amazing. On the trekking part of the holiday the best day was when we went to Britannico

In one sentence, what did you think of Patagonia? Did it live up to your expectations?

It was fantastic

Would you visit again?

Yes

How was the service that Swoop provided?

Your service was very good especially when there were no planes to El Calafate. The hotel that Roger found in Palermo for us for the additional 3 nights was great

How was your experience in Buenos Aires?

The trip to Colonia was the best day. Palermo was a great place to stay - plenty of good bars and restaurants. The city is very nice and safe to walk around, plus the metro is very easy to use. Both the Ilum and Vitrum hotels that you booked for us were good. The Vitrum was better as we had a apartment room and they have a bar in the hotel.

How was your experience in El Calafate and El Chalten?

The hike to Fitzroy was the best day. Perito Moreno glacier was amazing I have never seen a glacier like it. We only had one night in El Chalten due to our delays but we thought it was a really nice town and we meal we had there of the local stew was very good. Julianna was very good guide, it was a shame we didn't have more time with here.

How was your Patagonian cruise?

The Australis cruise was absolutely superb. I wasn't sure how they would manage to get that many people on and off the boat on the RIBs but it was a very smooth operation. The remoteness of Tierra del Fuego - we didn't see another boat for 3 days was incredible. We saw a lot of wildlife - penguins, dolphins, seals, albatross, condors. The service on the boat was very good and our cabin was excellent it was definitely worth the money.

How was your hike in Torres del Paine?

The day we trekked to Britannico was the best. The Grand Paine hostel was not that good but all of the other hostels were very good. The ranch where we stayed at the end was very special, good food (Patagonian barbecue) and the view of Torres del Paine. Chuma our guide was very good. The first day when we travelled by boat to the edge of the park was a great day and a very good way of starting the trek.

Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?

We thought the itinerary you arranged was very good. Staying in Buenos Aires which was necessary for the logistics of the trip was a pleasure - honestly a very nice place to stay. Given the flight problems we had we might try and arrange a bit more buffer time - say an extra night - in BA before flying down.

How was your time in Ushuaia?

The hotel was very good especially the indoor / outdoor hot pool. Food was very good and our room was lovely. We sorted ourselves out with a taxi to go to the Martial Glacier which is really all we had time for with only one full day in Ushaia.
