Overall, how was your trip?
Torres del Paine was spectacularly beautiful and the adventure in the wind on Lago Grey was unique. Traveling companions were wonderful people and easily adaptable to the changing schedules.
In one sentence, what did you think of Patagonia? Did it live up to your expectations?
Exceeded expectations and was a great adventure!
Would you visit again?
How was the service that Swoop provided?
Swoop was great from start to finish. The others on our tour through Latin American Journeys seemed to have a more complete itinerary which would have been appreciated. The arrangements before and after the regular tour (Easter Island and Iguazu Falls) were excellent and we always felt very well taken care of.
How likely is it that you would recommend Swoop to a friend?
10 out of 10
How was your experience in Buenos Aires?
WE don't particularly like big cities, but we loved Buenos Aires. Very interesting and architecturally beautiful. Duncan took us to dinner at a great restaurant in the renovated part of town. Tour was very good. Felt very safe. Tango show was good.
How was your experience on Easter Island?
We felt very comfortable from start to finish with the greeting at the airport and the tour arrangements. Accommodations were as expected. Tour guides were extremely knowledgable and helpful. The whole island was friendly and easy to navigate. Everything was perfect.
How was your Patagonian adventure?
Loved the people and the size of the tour. Hotels were wonderful with very comfortable accommodations and great breakfasts. Tour leaders were awesome. It was everything we had hoped for and more.
How was your time at the Iguazu Falls?
WOW! Still can't wrap our heads around where all the water comes from. Everything was great. Hotel was wonderful. Guides for the falls were not particularly informative. We could have done it on our own. Disappointed that full moon evening tour was cancelled on what looked like a perfectly normal evening. Still waiting to get our money back.
How was your experience in Santiago and the surrounding area?
Swoop arrangements were great and tour guide on meeting at the airport was wonderful. Luciano K was unique and a good taste of a small Chilean hotel. Atton del Bosque was just a big city hotel - nothing special. No t particularly impressed with Santiago or Valparaiso - we were probably spoiled by Easter Island. Wine tour could have been anywhere in the world.
How was your hike in Torres del Paine?
This was the reason for the trip and was worth all the effort. Guides were knowledgable and helpful. Scenery was awesome. Changes were made on the fly to accommodate weather conditions and worked out perfectly. Couldn't have been better.
