Overall, how was your trip?

Highlight: thermal therapy in glacier los perros!! And Xmas eve - beach party with the lodge staff! And how awesome my group was (literally couldn’t have been better - made lifelong friends) Landscape was fabulous, so varied and spectacular. Not much wildlife. Our group was awesome - all young, fit, full of energy and life! Will tell my grandchildren about all of it! Surprised by how good the food was - especially dinner.

In one sentence, what did you think of Patagonia? Did it live up to your expectations?

Amazing place, fantastic scenery, (much) better weather than I expected!

Would you visit again?

Yes

How was the service that Swoop provided?

I emailed a variety of trip providers but Tom from swoop was the first and most ‘on it’ person I corresponded with. He was the main reason I chose Swoop! Great guy. Definitely chose the right trip - although I knew I wanted to do Paine Massif from the beginning.

How did you feel about booking directly with our partner(s)?

Chile Nativo was awesome. My flight from Buenos Aires was cancelled so I was a day late arriving, and they sorted everything for me! So helpful. The only (strong) suggestion I have for Chile Nativo is that they have a new receptionist at their office and she knew NOTHING about the trip. I missed the briefing (because I was delayed by a day) and she couldn’t answer any of my questions - even basic ones. Nice girl but too inexperienced to be the main point of contact in the office.

10 out of 10

Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?

For people who easily get cold, bring lots of clothes and socks and hats and gloves. I was fine but one lady was frozen! Take lots of pictures - you will regret it otherwise! Try thermal therapy in the glacier lakes - it’s painful but worth it!
