Overall, how was your trip?

Trip was fantastic, everything organized well.. guides ,drivers, staff all were wonderful. Friendly and helpful. Only surprise was how difficult it was to get Argentinian pesos.

In one sentence, what did you think of Patagonia? Did it live up to your expectations?

Absolutely, stunning beauty, wide open spaces,

Would you visit again?

Yes

How was the service that Swoop provided?

Swoop could not have been better. We originally planned this trip in October but my husband had an injury. Swoop helped us re book the whole trip at a later time. Natasha was organized, helpful, always available for questions.

How did you feel about booking directly with our partner(s)?

The local partners were excellent. They were able to answer questions before our trip through email. The trip was organized very well. All the logistics were taken care of. (Timing, drivers, airport transfers, hotel transfers, etc)

How likely is it that you would recommend Swoop to a friend?

How was your experience in El Chalten?

The trekking in El Chalten was superb. Our guide, Matias, was friendly, organized. He saw our level of hiking and made the pace very comfortable for us. The terrain was probably a little more strenuous than I thought it would be, but we never felt unsafe. We had paid extra for porters, so that we would not have to carry sleeping bags and tents, and that was well worth it.

How likely is it that you would recommend this trip to a friend? (where 0 = Not at all likely, 5 = Neutral, 10 = Extremely Likely)

Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?

Make sure you bring plenty of American currency to exchange. The ATM will charge a hefty fee, will limit the amount of money you can get, and are sometimes empty of cash. Most places in the cities will take credit cards but smaller towns like El Chalten, they may not. Also you need cash for tipping, as you cannot add tips to your credit card amounts. If you go to the remoter areas, make sure you are fit and healthy, even the “day hikes” are very strenuous. But the beauty of the land is well worth it.

Anything else? Tell us anything you’d like to share that we forgot to ask! It’s ok to leave this empty too :-)

The trip was everything we hoped it would be. Thanks to Natasha at swoop, Andy ( our guide in Bariloche for kayaking) and Matias (our guide for El Chalten hiking) and everyone else behind the scenes.
