Overall, how was your trip?

I loved the hotel, The Singular. I took two day trips offered by the hotel, one the tour of Torres del Paine that was included as part of my package and another, a boat trip to the glacier and afternoon at an estancia that I paid for. Both were excellent. Service at The Singular was great, they remembered my name and greeted me whenever I went by the desk. The most magical part was seeing the condors at Torres del Paine as we visited a glacier. It was also magical just looking out at the spectacular view from my room.

In one sentence, what did you think of Patagonia? Did it live up to your expectations?

Patagonia was a beautiful and interesting mix of wild nature and human history.

Would you visit again?

Yes

How was the service that Swoop provided?

Swoop was great. First, Swoop told me about an excellent deal at The Singular. Then, when my subsequent Antarctica plans changed unexpectedly, Swoop rearranged dates of my stay at The Singular and all associated transfers--including travel across Patagonia to Buenos Aires, to coordinate with my new travel plans--even telling me when I needed to get a meal before a flight. I also used an excellent Swoop recommendation of where to stay in Buenos Aires. In addition, Swoop arranged for my luggage to be held for me by a taxi service when I had a few hours to sightsee in El Calafate. That would have been hard for me to arrange on my own. The Final Travel Itinerary was very useful and I referred to it many times. I didn't need the 24/7 support but appreciated having it available.

How was your experience in Torres del Paine?

While I would have loved to have longer in Torres del Paine, even a day there was worth it. My guide from The Singular was lovely. I traveled with three Chilean guests, and he made it all as bilingual as I needed (I speak some Spanish, but he made sure I understood everything.) Traveling early in the season meant that (1) it was less crowded than later and (2) the mountains were beautifully snow covered, while the temperature was mild. As for the accomodation, The Singular was one of the most beautiful and interesting hotels I've ever stayed at. However, I was glad to go there on the special early season price and not on the regular price.

Anything else? Tell us anything you’d like to share that we forgot to ask! It’s ok to leave this empty too :-)

Many thanks for planning a great short stay in Patagonia for me.
