Tell us about El Calafate & El Chalten
The catamaran trip to Perito Moreno was awful. A big noisy boat, into which we were herded with 100 very loud people. The stops on the way to the glacier were not particularly interesting - especially not in the pouring rain. The guide talked non-stop and did not have much of interest to say. We would highly recommend a different way of getting to the glacier. Is there a bus?
Tell us about the trekking
Pedro in El Chalten was exceptionally good. I highly recommend him. The trek we were on was classified as moderate. I would warn that the part where you climb up is actually harder than moderate. But it was worth it for the view!
Something Else?
The person who met us in Ushuaia said she would check us in for the flight to El Calafate, so we didn't check in ourselves. But she failed to do that and did not mention it. We got less desirable seats at the last moment.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
See my comments above. It took a while of back-and-forth at the beginning to explain our preferences to Swoop. I don't think we are so exceptional and I was ready to give up. But then Peter provided an itinerary and accommodations that were perfectly tailored to our expectations, and the resulting trip was very successful. So thank you! I also liked the 24x7 availability of the local team. They were able to rectify a wrong voucher they sent as soon as we pointed in out late in the evening.
