Tell us about EcoCamp
EcoCamp provided a very comfortable base for our daily activities with a warm and accommodating room and great food in the midst of wild natural beauty.
Tell us about Torres del Paine
The settings brought Patagonia to life with scenic vistas and unspoiled nature at every turn.
Tell us about Chilean Lakes
A very different environment from southern Patagonia with rainforests and volcanoes - more developed but still very beautiful.
Tell us about Santiago
Santiago is an interesting and culturally mixed modern city. Our guide was knowledgeable and enhanced our short visit with descriptions of the history of the areas we visited. We even caught a glimpse of the newly inaugurated Chilean president as he departed the presidential palace after meeting with local and foreign dignitaries.
Tell us about the Kayaking
Our kayaking guide knew the area well and tailored our trip to gain the best advantage of the changing conditions. It was a calm and peaceful paddle that included the sighting of a pod of Chilean dolphins as we beached for our lunch break.

Our guides knew the area well and provided expert instruction for an exciting adrenaline filled adventure.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
If you have been considering a trip to Patagonia, by all means, don't deny yourself the experience. Just prepare well and bring a strong sense of adventure. It's like nothing else we have ever done.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
It helped us recognize and see firsthand the importance of preservation of wilderness areas and to understand the balances needed to do so.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
Peter and Zoe were great in the planning stages and in keeping us informed of the changing requirements for entry and exit.
