Arriving at the Torres. Seeing that in person was so different than what one would imagine in photos. And, it felt like a personal accomplishment to have gotten there on such a challenging hike.

Tell us about Torres del Paine

Yes, it went above my expectations! Every day was different and interesting, we enjoyed meeting fellow travelers, and speaking Spanish. I would tell others to invest in planning this trip for themselves.

Were Swoop right to recommend Chile Nativo?

Yes

Something Else?

I think that’s it. If we think of something later, how can we contact you? Can you forward me a copy of the feedback that I’m submitting now? It was a fantastic and unforgettable experience!

Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?

Make sure that they pack everything on the packing list and be ready for any kind of weather. We had a super windy afternoon walking to Paine Grande after the French Valley hike and the following day we hiked for four hours in the wind and rain to Glacier Grey. Fortunately, we had the appropriate gear.😊Another suggestion for travelers is to not hike back to Paine to take the Paine ferry but instead, take the ferry from Grey to Hotel Grey and then that bus. We ended up doing this and paying for the Grey ferry and bus ticket out of pocket while forfeiting our prepaid Paine ferry ticket and bus fare back to Natales. It didn’t seem worthwhile to trace our steps back to Paine on the trail we’d walked the day before. Another tip… we loved the kayaking and ice hike at Grey. We would definitely recommend those activities. Big Foot guides were extremely professional, safe, and info on those trips.

Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?

Not really…. It reminded me how important it is to spend time in nature and gave me more confidence that I can do anything I put my mind to. It was the most challenging hike I’ve done or at least just as challenging as hiking in Peru and Macchu Picchu.

Would you consider another trip to Patagonia with Swoop?

Yes

Would you be interested in travelling to Antarctica with Swoop?

Yes

Would you be interested in travelling to the Arctic with Swoop?

Yes

Was there anything else Swoop could have done for you to help you prepare for your trip?

No.

Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?

No. Except it would’ve been nice to have communicated via phone a bit prior to making the reservation and commitment rather than only communicating with our Swiop contact online.
