Tell us about EcoCamp

The upgraded geodesic domes were great, food was terrific.

Tell us about the Trekking

Trekking was hard but worth it for the views. Otr guides were fabulous (Felipe and Fiorella), who were not only great guides, but did some assisting on the spot repairs for boots, blisters, etc

Something Else?

The crew at swoop were fabulous. We received great support from Sarah, Nico, and Lisette, who answered or questions and concerns, even when l asked when the border crossing between Argentina and Chile closed! A fabulous moment came when Lisette's husband Tim visited our table at dinner to ensure we were having a good time, and pass on regards from Lisette. We even had a wonderful drop in visit from Lisette to say hi, with Tim and their lovely young daughter. This highlighted to us the great attention that Lisette places on the connection to the client, which is important for some service. Thanks Lisette!

Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?

Pack for all seasons. The daily snacks on the W trek are all provided. No need to bring your own. Let the guides know of health or medical needs, so they can prepare if needed, especially on the camping days. No need to bring your own sleeping bag liners, but do bring inflatable pillows for camping days. Let clients know that they won't have their luggage with them for the 2 camping days, so they'll need to carry what they need for those days while hiking.

Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?

I hope the park rangers are given the budget they need to manage the parks, as this strike effects the entire tourism sides, from operators, guides, and the tourists themselves.

Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
