WE had made an error on our flight time/day from El Calafate to Buenos Aires. WE had booked the flight on the wrong day, which gave us an evening with no hotel in El Calafate. It was OUR mistake and OUR error. The Swoop team was confirming our plans the evening before and that's when we all realized WE had made the mistake. WE just wish that Swoop had noticed that WE made this error weeks prior. In the end, WE were able to get a new flight for later that day and did not need another hotel in El Calafate. We made it to Buenos Aires later that day, much much later than planned.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Use Swoop. Allow more time if possible. Also you might want to allow half-days or full days with no hikes. Just to rest.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
YES! We want to go back. We also realized (again) just how much our planet earth is in peril. Our planet is beautiful. But climate change is real (which we knew) but the fragile ecosystem is worrisome. Humans have to do more. It also reinforced our love for nature and outdoor activities.

We were very prepared and we were very excited for Patagonia.
