Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Stress the importance of training for the trekking portion. We were in shape and had no problems but the hiking was more challenging than we had anticipated.

It was great to experience new places, cultures and natural wonders
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
It was not clear to us what the guidelines regarding tipping were. We wished we knew more about when/who to tip, what was included in our trip and what was not included. Tips regarding any kind of supportive service - esp. at the refugio. Our trip was a combo of independent and guided/arranged so we did not know. Travel is long. Give plenty of connection times. It would be difficult to do the trip if you did not speak spanish/some understanding of spanish. That definitely enhances the experience. Our girls were both fluent in spanish. Only hotel reception speak English. Not much english spoken in transport or restaurants.
How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?
Very prepared physically and wonderfully excited.
