Tell us about Hotel Las Torres
Our room was a little dated but we loved what the hotel was doing with their sustainability initiatives: their gardens, their cocktail program, and recycling bottles as glasses. The guides, their knowledge and the unexpected extremely small group size of our excursions made this the most memorable part.
Tell us about Torres del Paine
Loved that each segment of the W hike was a completely unique experience. It’s a hard park to get around on your own (hence why we went with SWOOP). It was hard for us to get detailed maps of the park in advance to our trip.
Tell us about the Trekking
While we had considered trying to do the W on our own we were so glad we used SWOOP- it allowed us to enjoy the experience and not worry about the details. Our guides were exceptionally knowledgeable, personable and we learned a lot about what we were seeing and learned about their lives and culture.
Something Else?
Such a minor point, but the vegan sandwich offered by the hotel for our hikes was truly awful. They could definitely work on improving it. Overall they had some nice vegan/vegetarian dinner options but could up their game a bit.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
This was a lifetime bucket list for us and it did not disappoint.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
Sometimes communicating seemed a bit hard and delayed but everything was ok in the end. Good website, liked the details provided.
