Tell us about the Wildlife
We didn't see much wildlife - hardly any. It was early spring; don't know if that was a factor. We missed the Penguin Island visit because the wind was too strong to go out in zodiacs.
Tell us about the Zodiac
The Zodiac captains really knew their business! We were often in wind and sometimes snow, but they were able to handle matters.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Bring kleenex or similar! Not all hotels provide it. If one plans a trip in early spring, prepare to dress warmly. And be prepared to deal with wide variations in the weather in the course of one day. Bring a hat/beanie that won't blow off in the wind.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
It reminded me how beautiful the sky can be. There's a lot of wide open spaces to enjoy it.
How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?
Pretty well prepared. I greatly looked forward to the trip and was confident I was bringing what would be needed - but not too much.
