The only detail I wish I had known was the logistics at the end of our itinerary. I would have book our return flights differently knowing travel times and distances from the end of our classic trek. We missed a stay in Puerto Natales that we really should have been encouraged to add before we booked our flight home. But our flights were requested before our itinerary was confirmed so we had no time to enjoy the town and rest following the trek.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Don’t underestimate the weather! There is never bad weather only bad gear or lack of gear.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
I have a greater understanding of the expanse of Chile, the culture and the beauty. I feel luck to have shared with it other adventure minded people.
How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?
Very prepare and super excited. We had great communication with our Swoop team start to finish.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
The team was very responsive to emailed questions and ensured we were well prepared.
