Tell us about Barraco Lodge
Paloma- a really great coordinator and excellent company. I really liked her Tomas- a fantastic guide- we took two trips with him and he was excellent Javier- a delightful guide and great kayaker Jaime is the consulate host and a very interesting man- we throughly enjoyed his company and the company of the team. The excursions were wonderful and created to our abilities needs and wants- It was really great to be at Baccaro Lodge
Tell us about Patagonia Camp
We arrived at Patagonia Camp with a medical situation that needed attention. the staff was unbelievably attentive and accommodating. Rafael is one of the nicest kindest efficient managers I have ever met! We were treated with the utmost of respect and care- Unfortunately we had to leave. But we will definitely try to get back there as soon as we can- provided we get the insurance for that part of the trip.
Something Else?
Our first leg of the trip was the Atacama Desert and that was amazing visually- unlike anything we've ever seen. I think the excursions that were arranged for us here, really need some re-arranging. The timing was tortuous and more sight-seeing than active. We tried to change, but were told we could change when we got there- we could not. Loved seeing the area, but would definitely do it a different way.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Examine the travel plan- from the US it is alot of travel and within Patagonia there is alot of travel in-between places.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
First time we used an agency- there were pros and cons to it. Nor sure if there were more pros or more cons. But with this knowledge I am sure I could make better decisions.
