What was your most memorable moment?

The two day long treks we took, while arduous, were breathtaking. The park is a truly wonderful place to see for those who love raw nature.

Tell us about Patagonia Camp

The PC people are very accommodating. They always seemed to want to make our stay as pleasant at possible. The Sunday night lamb roast/cocktails/dinner buffet event was a very nice surprise. The lunch we had at a small building in the wild on our first full day trek was ridiculous! I thought we would have sandwiches and chips and pop. Given the location, that would have been understandable. But no--there was a tablecloth, ceramic plates, metal flatware, five salads, smoked meat and fish, a choice of two good wines and a delightfully light cheesecake. I LOVE the attitude that produced that lunch. It says that even though we are in the wilderness, Patagonia Camp is a 5-star resort and our guests deserve the best. The guides were attentive and always helpful. Overall, PC was a marvelous experience. Meal choices were delightfully creative. Wines were good. Our yurt was tidied up just right every day. The staff always performed in a professional and courteous way. Well done:)

Tell us about Torres del Paine

Stunningly beautiful park. Raw nature at its best! The only change i would make would be when I would go again. The weather in the Fall (April) can be too harsh. I understand that TDP weather is always a little unpredictable--that is part of it’s charm. I recommend going in Oct-Dec. The weather in those months is going to be more pleasant thereby making the visit that much more so.

Tell us about the Excursions

Guides were always helpful and professional. The two 8-hour treks were took were difficult but exhilarating. I thought I was in better shape! The powerful wind did not help! I wish there had been more 4-hour treks available.

Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?

If you can afford to, go in Nov-Jan when the weather is more pleasant.

Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?

Not really. I love the wilderness tours. The national park is so pristine--we say no litter anywhere--that is so refreshing! The attitude of everyone at the park and PC was ‘green."

Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?

Keep doing what you are doing--great job.

How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?

We were very excited. We were not disappointed. The TDP national park and PC were wonderful/,memorable experiences.
