Tell us about Explora

Easter island explora was amazing. The exact opposite of what we experienced in Atacama. It was truly amazing and the whole experience top notch. From amazing guides, food, service and room. This is the standard you should expect from this resort brand and Atacama should take notice. In addition, the vehicle setups were more conducive for taking groups on excursions without feeling crowded.

Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?

When planning for Patagonia specifically like when we did the park, probably give yourself 5 days to account for bad weather. Give yourself a better chance of having more nicer days for excursions.

Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?

It is truly a wonderful destination and can’t wait to go back.

Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?

Swoop was amazing to deal with. Only one point I have as a recommendation is that we understand you want or have to push travel insurance for clients, but when they turn it down let that be the end of it. My wife and I travel extensively all over the world and to many austere locations for some vacations and can only think of one time did we have this and that was for Nepal for emergencies based on high altitude excursions. Point being, if someone is using your service for a luxury trip they are probably aware of all the things that can affect and alter travel and thus are purchasing with credit cards that cover reimbursements for most if not all that travel Insurance covers. When a client tells you they have it covered let the topic go and the responsibility is on them for how it plays out. My only small critics feedback. One more is consider looking into another option for a resort in Atacama. Awassi looked nice and they did private one on one excursions.
