Something Else?

We were underwhelmed by the accommodation in Ushuaia: we appreciate that it is an expensive town but whilst the accommodation was passable, the breakfast was disappointing.

Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?

Listen to the excellent advice as to what to pack! It was very helpful.

Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?

Yes. It has increased my understanding of both Argentina and Chile and of course of Patagonia, its history and challenges. It truly was a holiday of a lifetime.

Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?

We think you did an excellent job! My only comment would be that back to back 8 hour treks in Glaciares would have been a stretch! The weather meant that we walked for only 5 hours on Day 1 and then 8 hours on Day 2. Also, private guides were worth their weight in gold.

How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?

I was concern about our two consecutive long trek days but felt very well prepared. I was confident that Patagonia would amaze me but was unprepared for the sheer magnificence and beauty; not that you could have prepared me any better for that!
