You need to be in good shape.
Tell us about the Trekking
We stayed in the comfort camps the first two nights. I found it creepy to sleep in a sleeping bag that others had slept in. It wasn't clear whether the liner got washed between users. I could smell the latrine at night. I liked the wilderness camps better but we did get very tired of freeze dried food. It all tasted pretty similar and it was a taste we didn't love. Next time I would request a vegetarian diet. I'm not strictly vegetarian, but there was too much meat for me.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
This was a great way to start retirement!
How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?
Very prepared. We got an excellent packing list for the trek. We brought everything on the list and didn't need anything else.
