What was your most memorable moment?
The Perito Moreno Glacier. The boat tour of this was awesome! I found it difficult to contain my excitement- the view was spectacular and we got really close to the icebergs.

Tell us about the Trekking
The only minor issue was we had been booked into a Refugio in our original itinerary and this was changed at the end without us knowing. That said, despite the insane wind, the tents stayed upright and the mats and sleeping bags were super warm. The quality of the camping nights was excellent and the food was good too. Our guides really did their best to ensure everyone was ok and although we didn't get to do the boat tour of the grey glacier- this was only because the boat couldn't navigate on such rough seas. I thought it was good you had highlighted this as a possibility in the itinerary as it meant we weren't disappointed.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Watch all your videos and attend your 1 hour briefing on what to bring.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
I feel braver! It has been many years since I have travelled like this and it was my first time away from my children. It was so good to feel well looked after.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
Small point, but the 24hr luggage storage in El Calafate is not 24hrs. Nor is the alternative provider (bunkerpatagonia, nor the cafe in town that claims it holds luggage). If Swoop had a good relationship with a local hotel it might be helpful to offer this as an arrangement- with a small cost if needed- for clients who want to leave their bags for a few hours before the onward journey.
How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?
Very! Please send our thanks to Minerva and her colleagues who put together the trip plan and were very attentive in responding to our queries. We will definitely recommend you to anyone we know considering travelling to locations that you operate in. Great job! PS Have tried to upload some photos but there is an issue with the browser. I will email some over to Minerva instead.
