What was your most memorable moment?
Achieving all 3 legs of the W Trek and the experience of what those treks contained is what I’ll never forget. The experience of doing those from the Hotel Rio Serrano was also a real highlight.

Our experience of hiring a car through SixT was very disappointing. Our car was quite new (9785km on tacho) but we had a tire blow out on us two hours into our trip, only to then discover the jack provided was broken and unusable, and we had to rely on flagging down a passing car to help us. Then when we tried to call the SixT help line it would not answer and did not continue to answer for our entire trip. SWOOP was called and got involved but this didn’t actually change our situation. At present we have heard nothing about repaying the cost of a new tire and jack that we had to organise for ourselves (about $700 AUD).
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Be very careful about car hire. Check the jack in the boot. Do not rely on the car hire company to have provided a functioning car.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
It will still depend on how our car hire company handles the costs and issues that we have reported to them. As yet we don’t have the final report back from SixT
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
SWOOP team were very good at all stages.
How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?
We were looking forward to it and felt that all elements had been taken care of. All transfers and connections were reliable and happened as expected.
