We had some issues with the local operator in San Pedro but Swoop liaised well with them and resolved the issues to our satisfaction. They certainly are a company who want to ensure that their clients are well looked after and to the high standards they set.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Be aware that some of the refugios on the W Trek have bed bugs! Check your bunk before settling in for the night.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
There were some areas of our itinerary that we felt we could have been advised to change slightly for a slightly more relaxed experience but to be fair we dictated much of the itinery. We felt that the hotel we had in El Calafate was way too far out of town - particularly given our arrival and departure times and the hotel restaurant not being open on the day of our late arrival. The hotel in Puerto Natales - Big Sur was the only one we felt was too basic and tiny with respect to rooms. We would not recommend that hotel to anyone. All other accommodation was good.
