What was your most memorable moment?
Ooooo… so many to chose from! Walking into eco-camp for the 1st time, Completing the Base of the Towers hike, Perito Merino glacier trek, the 3 hours we hiked by ourselves on the way to Lago de los Tres! All spectacular!

Tell us about EcoCamp
Eco-camp would be a 100 on the1-10 scale! Better than expected, room was better than any 5* hotel, but the food, friendly staff and knowledgeable guides REALLY make the place special! We willl go back!

Gorgeous! And full of animals - different feel than the Argentina side.
Tell us about Los Glaciares
We loved this part of our trip as well and the freedom of not being on a program. Both of the towns we went to were super charming. I would say that the best part is the people! The hotels had great recommendations and so did our cab driver in el Calafate (who basically became our personal driver for the evening). Everyone put up with our poor Spanish as well.
Tell us about the Excursions
I would recommend our Perito Merino Glacier excursion. After the initial culture shock of the large group bus and boat ride, they split us into smaller groups for the mini-trek and that portion made everything worthwhile! Guides were super knowledgeable and friendly - walking on the glacier was a special experience that we will never forget. And swoop even arranged our lunch for it! (Thank you!)
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Trust Swoop and the expert guides. I asked a bunch of questions that in retrospect, they totally had covered. Patagonia is somewhat remote, but Swoop had all the right vendors on board to make sure our trip went super smoothly.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
We want more of this!!! Active, Eco-conscious travel to fascinating natural wonders where we can learn about the environment, the people and a bit of the language.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
Really appreciated the Argentina team touching base when we were due to arrive there. We had been out of cell service / wifi at Ecocamp and it was a nice reminder that you guys were thinking 2 steps ahead of us on our journey. We will go back to Patagonia and we would like options for other areas of the world as well. I can’t click the ‘yes’ buttons below. They only allow me to select 1 yes in all of the options. I can’t seem to add photos either. Let me know if there’s a way to send some separately.
