Life Before Swoop
Growing up, my world revolved around curiosity. Whether I was glued to National Geographic, unwrapping a new Lonely Planet guide for Christmas, or setting off on adventures with my family, a deep love for wildlife and the natural world was always at my core. After studying Journalism and Cultural Studies at university, I jumped at the very first chance to spread my wings. I spent a transformative year backpacking across South America, tasting local dishes, immersing myself in new cultures, and taking in landscapes I’d only ever dreamed about- followed by a year living in Australia.
On returning home to the UK, turning my passion into a career was a no-brainer. Since then I have been crafting bespoke travel itineraries to the very places that shaped me. There is nothing quite like sending travellers—and even my own family—off on trips, knowing they’re about to experience that same magic.
Why I Love Patagonia
Patagonia is the ultimate definition of ‘wild.’ My clear memory of arriving there was just how untouched it felt and how incredible it was to experience a landscape so uninterrupted by modern life.
It’s a region that welcomes every type of adventurer. You can test your limits on rugged mountain trails, explore the dramatic scenery on horseback, or track pumas and spot whales alongside expert guides. Its sheer scale means no two views are ever alike: one day you’re taking in the volcanic peaks of the Lake District, and the next you’re gazing at the granite towers of Torres del Paine or the giant glaciers of Los Glaciares. But the magic goes far beyond the scenery... it’s in the culture, whether you're tucking into a traditional asado or sharing mate with local gauchos.
While I’ve explored Chile and Argentina from top to bottom (with plenty of incredible food and wine along the way!), my true love affair is with the remote wilderness of Patagonia. Beyond its breathtaking landscapes, what inspires me most is the dedicated conservation effort to keep it wild - a rarity in today’s world, making every single visit feel like a true privilege.
Day to Day at Swoop
My focus every day is simple: listen closely to what you envision for your journey to Chile and Argentina, and make it a reality. I know firsthand how meaningful these trips are, which is why getting every detail right matters so much to me. No two itineraries are the same, and having the creative freedom to tailor each trip to the individual traveller is what keeps me inspired.
Working remotely gives me the incredible opportunity to connect with customers and colleagues all over the world, bringing a constant flow of new cultures and perspectives right to my desk in London.
My Next Adventure
While my recent adventures have been spent hiking through dramatic mountain trails in places like Madeira, my next journey takes me beneath the surface. I’m heading to Raja Ampat, a remote archipelago in Indonesia known for having the highest marine biodiversity on Earth. I’m currently completing my PADI certification so I can strap on a tank, dive into these incredible underwater ecosystems, and experience some of the finest diving in the world!
