Life Before Swoop

I started working in tourism in 2019, when I experienced the mountains and Patagonia for the first time. It wasn’t just discovering a new landscape; it was discovering a completely different rhythm of life. I reshaped the way I understand travel.

Since then, I’ve worked in refugios, hotels and education across the Patagonia Region, supporting travellers from all over the world and hiking both the O and W circuits along the way. Living here allowed me to experience far beyond the trails, connecting with student groups and local communities who helped me explore a vast portion of the region and deepen my understanding of its dynamic landscapes and culture.

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to discover remarkable places such as Parque Nacional Bernardo O'Higgins, Isla Magdalena, Parque Marino Francisco Coloane, as well as Argentine Patagonia highlights like El Calafate, Perito Moreno and El Chaltén, among many other beautiful and remote destinations that have shaped my perspective on travel in the far south.

Fun fact - I’m the youngest of my sisters, and definitely the little-big adventurer. I’ve taken one polar plunge in the Strait of Magellan and two in the Señoret Channel, because sometimes the best way to experience Patagonia is to dive right in, quite literally. I like to be called: sunset hunter or nerd birdwatcher.

Why I Love Patagonia

For me, travel is about connection - to landscapes, to cultures, and to the people who shape them. Patagonia has taught me that adventure isn’t only about reaching a destination. It’s about learning to be present, to adapt, and to find meaning in both the challenging and the beautiful moments.

I love how this kind of travel invites resilience and curiosity. And I find it deeply meaningful to support others through that journey, to help them feel capable, prepared, and open to whatever the landscape wants to teach them.

How I Help Swoop Travellers

As a Customer Experience Coordinator, my role is to support travellers at every stage of their journey, from the first planning conversations to the moment they return home reflecting on their adventure. I’m there to provide clarity, context, and thoughtful guidance, ensuring that each decision they make feels informed and aligned with what they truly want to experience.

I believe that meaningful customer service is an essential part of any great journey. When travellers feel heard, prepared, and supported, it allows them to fully immerse themselves in the landscape and the experience itself. Those details, the communication, the reassurance, the personal touch, are often what transform a trip into something genuinely memorable.
