Life Before Swoop

Raised on a traditional Estancia in Argentina, I developed a deep connection with nature, the countryside and horses. My dad, a former aviator and ambassador, was the most adventurous person I’ve ever known. Every summer, we’d embark on epic three-month road trips to Patagonia for fishing and exploring. My mom, a sociologist and the best cook you could imagine, filled our meals with love and captivating stories. Some of my fondest memories are of collecting wild strawberries and making homemade jam with mom, while touring Patagonia during our family summer holidays.

I studied business and initially worked in corporate finance, a field that, while interesting, sometimes felt a bit dull. By the time I turned 30, I knew I needed a change. So, I took a leap of faith, left the corporate world, and spent two transformative gap years travelling across the Americas, from Canada to Chile, mostly by land. It was the best investment in my life, enriching my experiences and perspective in countless ways. This journey of self-discovery led me to shift my career to tourism and hospitality, where I now focus on providing excellent customer service and creating memorable experiences for everyone I meet.

My Patagonia Experience

My journey to Patagonia began during my travelling years. I was fortunate to become a guide in Torres del Paine National Park and its surrounding areas, as well as the Atacama Desert, engaging in hiking, mountaineering and horseback riding throughout the Andes. I crossed borders with guests, sharing the wonders these lands have to offer. Over time, I found my place on earth in Puerto Natales, and now I am proud to call this southern corner my home.

Why I Love Patagonia

While future travels and explorations await—some shorter than others—I know my heart will always lead me back to Puerto Natales. Here, I can drink a mate, lose myself in the majesty of the mountains, feel the roaring wind in my hair, and let the cold breath of the southern icefield touch my eyes, bringing a tear of joy from time to time.
