Punta Tombo is close to Peninsula Valdes in the northern part of Argentinian Patagonia.

Here you'll find the world's largest colony of Magellanic penguins, with around 1 million penguins roosting here each year from September to April. Tours to see the penguins depart from nearby Trelew and Puerto Madryn regularly between October and March.
