Laguna San Rafael National Park
Named after the gloriously blue San Rafael Lagoon, formed by the meltwater of San Rafael Glacier. In 1979 the Park was designated a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve and some of the highest peaks of the Patagonian Andes (Mt Valentin). Its protected status means that it is home to many kinds of wildlife, including Chilean dolphins, sea lions, marine otters, and elephant seals.
