Day 1: Fly to Castro Airport; Tierra Chiloé Hotel
Arrival into Castro airport. Transfer to Tierra Chiloé Hotel, with its distinctive architecture, on the shores of the island. Take the opportunity to enjoy a half day excursion in the local area or instead explore the hotel, relax, enjoy the surrounding nature and wildlife, or relax in the spa.

You will have the chance to choose your excursion every day of your trip. You can choose from both land and sea based adventures based on your ability, mood and the weather. Quinchao Island – This excursion starts with a short trip by van to the village of Dalcahue where you will board a ferry to cross the channel over to the Island of Quinchao. On the Island, you'll visit some churches declared UNESCO World Heritage Sites, in addition to the famous villages of Curaco de Velez, Achao, and the smaller attractive towns of Quinchao and San Javier. During the trip you'll have the opportunity to stop at scenic viewpoints of the countryside, ocean and Chiloe architecture. You'll take in panoramic views of the archipelago before begining your trip back to the hotel.

Dos Lagos – You'll head south to the Chiloé National Park, near Lake Cucao, where you can walk the forest trails lined with the atmospheric tepu (myrtle) tree forests, endemic to this part of the world, and with fine views of the Pacific Ocean. On the return trip you will stop by Lake Huillinco and visit the Vilupulli Church, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Quilquico (horse-riding) – Departing from the hotel you'll ride the trail leading to the southern end of the beach. This takes you very close to the Pullao wetlands where you may have the chance to do some migratory bird watching. Further on you'll arrive at the local blacksmith's house, where you can see some of the tools used to work the land in Chiloé. From there you'll ride up the trail while enjoying a wide panoramic views and reach the village of Quilquico. After riding along several meandering inland trails crossing over fields, you'll arrive back at the hotel.

Chonchi - Quehui (at sea) – You'll travel by van to the village of Chonchi where you will take a walking tour of the historic neighbourhood, stopping to loom at the old homes along the way. This visit also includes the old local museum, the UNESCO World Heritage site church and the waterfront. You'll then board the boat Williche and sail towards the islands of Lemuy, navigating along the coastline in order to view the islands from the inland sea. The next stop will be the islands of Chelin and Quehui. You will return to the hotel aboard the vessel Williche.
