Lago Las Rocas

Close to the border with Argentina, this tranquil lake in the Chilean Lake District is difficult to reach by car and is usually accessed by motorboat, on foot or on horseback. Isla Barrundias, a small island in the northern part of the lake is privately owned and many horse riding groups stay at the picturesque lodge there. With just a few short boat rides across Lago Rocas, Lago Inferior and the rapids in the middle of Lago Puelo, you will arrive in Argentina within a couple of hours.
