Finishing without getting hurt. I’m 70 years old and that was one of the hardest physical endurance adventure. I used to run marathons in ultras and that five day adventure was harder given me terrain of rocks and hills. Finishing at the swinging bridge glacier it’s pretty awesome.

The hiking, the scenery, and our guides were AMAZING! But I think meeting and connecting with people from all over the globe is my most memorable moment. The world is huge, and yet seems smaller and cozier having met travelers from everywhere!

Almost too many to choose from...but the first time I viewed the Torres del Paine from Explora lodge in person I felt like my dreams had been answered. Absolutely breathtaking and I must have taken 100 photos of the same peaks in all kinds of weather and light.

Looking up through the clear ceiling skylight of our Ecocamp igloo in the middle of the night, in absolute darkness at the base of the majestic Torres del Paine mountains and seeing the Southern Cross shining brightly directly above me! I was now living in the Southern Cross instead of observing the stars at last!
