Overall, how was your trip?

The trip was great. Unfortunately there was a bridge broken so we were unable to complete the actual W Trek and had to do one of the hikes 2 days in a row, which was very disappointing, but that wasn't something that could be controlled. The guide offered to let us cross the river, and half of the group wanted to but the other half was against it so it would have been nice to just have the guide make the decision for us instead of leaving it up to individuals totally unfamiliar with the area. Also the mandatory upgrade to semi private cabins on the 3rd night was very disappointing and inconvenient as the bathrooms were broken and we ended up having to trek down to the main part just to use the bathroom and showers. We got to see a lot of wildlife- including a puma, foxes, and guanacos! Very cool! The accommodations are in stunning locations as well and glad I wasn't camping!

In one sentence, what did you think of Patagonia? Did it live up to your expectations?

It exceeded my expectations- absolutely stunning.

Would you visit again?

Yes

How was the service that Swoop provided?

I didn't really get much help from Swoop other than to connect me to Chile Nativo, which I'm thankful for as I may not have found them on my own. Communication with Swoop was good and had it been difficult to reach Chile Nativo, I feel confident that Swoop could assist me in whatever I would have needed.

How did you feel about booking directly with our partner(s)?

It was easy to book with the partner and they were very responsive.

How was your W trek in Torres del Paine?

Guide was great other than the tidbit I mentioned before and he seemed very frustrated with the group because we couldn't decide what to do, since the decision was split down the middle and we didn't know each other very well. It would be nice to know what the recommended tip should be because the website said $5-10 per day but we were told $25-35 per day which is a huge difference and also a lot of money for the higher scale. The food wasn't great for what they charge but it's understandable given the amount of people they are cooking for.

Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?

Pack light and make sure you have a good backpack! Follow the list as it's everything you need. There is wifi at the lodges but for a fee, and no good access to charging electronic devices to perhaps a solar charger or something of the sort would be handy.
