Overall, how was your trip?
Highlight - Seeing humpack whale breaching. Viewing Maellanic penguins from the boat. Landscapes / wildlife - Gorgeous. Otherworldly. People - interesting, friendly. Don't have grandchildren. But if I did, I think I'd tell them about the penguins. Surprises - I was surprised that we actually got to see a whale breaching.
In one sentence, what did you think of Patagonia? Did it live up to your expectations?
Beautiful wilderness! Lived up to my expectations.

How was the service that Swoop provided?
1 - Yes 2 - Seemed good. 3 - Good - I don't believe we got details about the trip, as in how long on the boat, details about accommodations on the island, number of others on the boat. Don't think we got a final itinerary, but may have missed this -- was quite busy prior to departure. 4 - Didn't use 24/7 support. 5 - "Scientist" grad student on the island was not very informative. Seemed quite bored with his didacic presentation about whales. Warmed up a bit.

Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Take meclizine the night before the trip and daily during the trip. Bring waterproof clothing and insulated parka and wool cap to wear underneath. Rain pants are a must. Wrap-around sunglasses highly recommended (lots of wind).
