Actually getting to see pumas in the wild. We saw 3 different cats with our guide and tracker combo, Susanne and Marcial.

Realizing the vastness of completely undisturbed land literally for as far as the eye can see. No phone lines, electrical lines, or infrastructure of humanity visible anywhere. Stunning, the earth as it once was before humans maimed it.

Day 4 of puma tracking. My wife and I spent 3+ hours walking with a puma. It was our best puma outing, and just so happened to also be my birthday. Spending a morning with my wife, walking with a puma in one of the most beautiful places is a lifetime memory.

Seeing a wild puma at a kill in spectacular evening light; a moment (and photographs) I won't forget. But if the pumas were a highlight, other wildlife was very nearly as special: Patagonian gray fox, guanacos galore, kestrels, harriers, a peregrine falcon, and more. The landscape was also gorgeous and worth spending quiet moments to absorb.

There were so many...getting on Cape Horn and walking to the albatross statue and the lighthouse, watching glaciers calving, seeing pumas in the wild, Las Torres peaks morning, noon and night, star gazing on a moonless cloudless night in the Atacama, the fabian lizards in the Atacama, etc. etc.

Seeing pumas in the wild with an excellent puma tracker (Diego) and having a magnificent view and activities from Explora Lodge in Torres del Paine.

Because my guide and tracker were excellent, I had many memorable moments. Frost chasing a hare. Rupestre and her cub. Dania and her two cubs feeding on a guanaco.

Hard to pick one: landing on Cape Horn, getting close to the pumas in Patagonia, marveling at the night time sky in the Atacama.
