Loved the French Valley hike. We had the most gorgeous day and the ultimate lookout was well worth the hike.

The activities we did with Swoop providers were part of an extended trip in Chile. Every day we have spent in Chile (and a bit in Argentina) either with a Swoop activity or traveling on our own has been fun and enjoyable. We have met many great people - locals as well as other travelers. Having said that there is no ONE thing that stands out, since the entire trip has been memorable.

The story I tell first is the unsuccessful attempt to climb Laguna de los Torres because of the sideways wind, rain and cold. Just to take off my raincoat to add a down jacket was quite an experience.

Reaching the summit in the fossil hike. The description was underwhelming but the hike was an exceptional mix of forest, pasture, and barren mountain top with incomparable views. It would also be helpful to mention it is a 600 meter vertical climb.
