Hiking up to Loma del Pilegue Tumbado, we had a clear day and had a perfect view of Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre!!! Hiking to Huemules Reserve and the Puesto Cagliero Hut was fun as well, with the crepe treat overlooking the glacier!!

This is a really hard question! There were special moments every step along the way, in every location. But….I would have to say that waking up around 6:30 on our first morning at Chalten Camp (that is, our first morning in Patagonia) and seeing the pink sunrise light on the peaks was my first glimpse of just how incredible this trip would be. And that was just the first most memorably moment! Truly awe-inspiring.

My very first trek in Patagonia came in El Cheltan on the Laguna de los Tres trail. It's most memorable b/c it was the first confirmation of my readiness for my trip (fitness and general preparedness in terms of gear and layering system), incredible views of Mt. Fitz Roy with great weather and just an all around awesome day. I also want to shout out Walk Patagonia for the great coordination of my time in El Chalten and El Calafate. And a very special shout out for my guide in El Chalten! Franco took me on two sole guided tours and was so great. He really made my experience wonderful and I left with much more than a guide, but a friend.

Seeing Águila Glacier was my favorite moment. The trek along the bay was beautiful, and then to walk back and see the glacier and touch the water was a very emotional moment for me. Absolutely breathtaking.

There were so many to pick just one is an almost impossible task! However, the view from the Lazo Weber viewpoint on a stunning, clear day was spectacular.

Getting to the top of the Mirador Los Torres. That feeling that I did it, that I’m capable, and with such an amazing view as payoff.
