Refugio Otto Meiling

Refugio Otto Meiling sits between two glaciers, high on Mount Tronador, and provides shelter for those trekking on the mountain. Otto Meiling was a German-born mountaineer who achieved many first ascents in this region, including several peaks in Nahuel Huapi National Park. He built this hut in the 1950s on Mount Tronador, which he summitted 15 times, and it was later renamed after him.
