Talia: Making it to the base of Las Torres on the last day of the W trek and celebrating with guides and the group at EcoCamp! Michael: Learning about the natural world from the highly knowledgeable guides on hikes in Torres del Paine, Los Glaciares, and Tierra del Fuego.

Kayaking Serono River was amazing. I've never been so close to a glacier while on the water. Saw so many animals -- rhea, puma, penguins.... I liked that fellow travelers had selected Patagonia as a destination -- no one was just 'passing through'.

Hard to pick one. The breathtaking nature in general but specifically the fact that it was so quiet and sereen in Torres del Paine during winter. A very memorable moment to me was to see the sun rise above the mountains covered in snow.

The landscapes of Patagonia are literally other-worldly. When we left the park, my nephew said it was like leaving Jurassic Park--it was so unreal. We saw grey foxes, condors, guanacos, and hawks (not to mention many other birds). The weather is as INTENSE as the beauty...every minute, it changed. The trail, though well-traveled, is not for the faint of heart. As times it was difficult. But never once did we regret the strain or aches. The people we met along the way were diverse and friendly. If we said "hola" one time a day, we said it fifty. it was truly a spirit-lifting trip!

Our trip was great - Mauricio was extremely knowledgeable about everything we were seeing, Refugio Paine Grande and Darwin were both great, and the hikes were lovely. We were snowed out completely of our last day (Torres) which was of course a bummer but we understood why the decision had to be made and knew this was a risk of an outdoor adventure.

Pushing my body even when it was challenging, enjoying the sights that felt isolated in nature, being able to immerse myself in nature with no data etc… and enjoying the nature that allows you to gain perspective in life. The guides were amazing adding value to the history of the park speaking on the flora and fauna their love for the park only enhanced mine

We had a superb trip. Both the landscapes and the wildlife were highlight - especially hiking and biking away from the more popular trails. People were invariably welcoming and helpful. We were surprised by the numbers of tourists on the more popular trails i.e. the W walk and also those around El Chalten (although a little less so around the latter). The walk around Los Huemules was a nice contrast. Magical moments were many, but usually linked to watching sunrises and sunsets.

Every hike we took was a new and unique experience ending with an amazing sense of accomplishment and reward. An amazing added bonus was the lovely picnic the guide provides as a surprise to help you celebrate. The base of the towers hike was mentally and physically demanding but was extremely rewarding. It's a lot of work but your mind is focused on each next step and that is the only thing- it's very peaceful and freeing!
