One of Chile’s most innovative luxury operators, Patagonia Camp were the first to introduce high-end glamping to the region. Located on the shores of Lake Toro, they offer a unique perspective on the Paine Massif from within a private 34,000-hectare reserve. Swoop has a longstanding relationship with Patagonia Camp (XX years). We really value their ability to provide our guests with an intimate, "off-the-beaten-track" experience that balances outdoor adventure with the critical comforts of a more luxurious hotel.

Who are Patagonia Camp?

Patagonia Camp (also known as "Pat Camp") are pioneers in sustainable, low-impact tourism who have reimagined the premium Torres del Paine experience. Established as a collection of luxury yurts, they operate on the principle of total immersion in the native Coigüe forest and local landscape. They are an all-inclusive operator, providing a once-in-a-lifetime experience that integrates regional gastronomy, biodynamic wines, and a private network of incredible trails and water-based activities that avoid the busier sections of the National Park.

Why We Love Working With Patagonia Camp

  • The Yurts: They provide a great sense of connection to Patagonia's elements; sleeping under a skylight that allows you to see the stars from your bed, while listening to the wind and rain.
  • Sustainability by Design: The entire infrastructure is built on raised wooden boardwalks to protect the native flora, and their "leave no trace" philosophy is deeply embedded in their daily operations.
  • Exclusive Privacy: Because the camp is situated in their own 84,000-acre private park, you can enjoy hiking and kayaking on Lake Toro well away from the main tourist crowds.
  • Tasty Gastronomy: We love their focus on local flavours, including Patagonian lamb paired with premium organic and biodynamic wines from sister vineyard, Matetic.
  • Range of Activities: The excursion menu is equally delicious, with 30+ options for trekking, gentle walking, kayaking, fishing, or touring by vehicle. Each excursion has a difficulty rating, so it's easy for you to choose the activities you'll enjoy the most.

The Patagonia Camp team are legends and their experience is top notch. There is nothing like waking up in a yurt and seeing the granite horns of the Paine Massif through your private skylight. You get exclusive access to hidden trails and Lake Toro, far from the park crowds. It’s perfect for those who want that raw, sensory connection to the elements without sacrificing a hot tub and a world-class glass of wine at the end of the day!
