I loved the local guide. Andre’s track did everything but swoop Got paid a lot for doing nothing more than signing us up with them. There was no more interaction with the salesman- ever- once we paid. All correspondence was a 48 hour delays when they’ve made that kind of money you’d think they could reschedule the $600!!! On the morning of day 2, we were hiking along the lake and it was so windy that the lake water was washing up on us and creating a rainbow over the lake and mountains. It was such a fun and cool experience that we were all able to share and experience the true Patagonian wind in a gorgeous setting.

Completing the Trek with great guides and the people in our group. Himay was so generous in making sure that everything and everyone was taken care of based on what they needed. (And I needed a lot of help:)) And seeing the glacier as we neared the end of our trek was the cherry on top!

It was snowing and hailing the day we did John Gardner Pass. The groups had split into two and I was at the back of the 1st group. I trudged along, just trying to not slow anyone down. I was definitely tired and cold. I remember seeing the group resting and waiting for me to come up over the pass. When I reached them I couldn’t contain my emotions. I burst into tears. It was so unbelievably beautiful. How lucky I was that I was physically able to see this wonder. So many people will never get get the chance to experience this… and I counted my blessings and thanks.

The national park is just incredible; breathtaking views. But our Eco Camp guides made the experience unforgettable. They were very knowledgeable, patient, encouraging and supportive. It felt like hiking with family. EcoCamp is also so awesome!
