The highlight of the trip was the wildlife. Just being in their land knowing that you are just visiting is an experience beyond words.

No one particular highlight. Landscapes were pretty awesome. We only met our group (six in total, all Canadians) and our great guide and porters. Probably would tell anyone “don’t go”.... The trail and conditions were a surprise. Climbing to the John Gardner pass and finishing the “O” circuit were great moments.

The cruise was the highlight of our extended trip. Loved the hikes, glaciers and Cape Horn. Plus accommodations were better than expecteded and everyone was so very helpful.

The Torres del Paine viewpoint trek and the walk with the Penguins were the two main high points. The guides were excellent.

I enjoyed doing the trek alone and I'm happy I did not book with a tour group. I met many people along the way and always ended up with a hiking buddy. Was fortunate to have great weather and I think that seeing the towers on the first day was a highlight. I was surprised at how few of animals I saw, actually. I saw a couple of foxes and a few rabbits, but that is all.

Overall, my trip was incredible and that was due to the (1) scenery (2) personal challenges that I conquered (3) the guides and fellow travel mates. The landscapes were gorgeous and we really lucked out with weather only having a little bit of rain in Argentina and only 1 day of rain in Chile. Both Juli and Claudio were incredible guides that really supported and encouraged us all. Yes, unfortunately the biggest surprise was that I had to pack my 28L backpack for 5 days and 4 nights. This was NEVER clear to me in any written communications. And this was OPPOSITE what was told to me during a phone call with Swoop while booking my trip.

Making it to the base of the towers despite hiking with a chest infection. It was the hardest thing I've ever done, and I'm still recovering as it turned into pnuemonia. But I couldn't have done it without the support of our guides, especially Nadia who walked with me every step. When we finally made it, we hugged each other and I wept. The hike into the Frenches Valley was my happiest joyful blue sky day, the views were incredible. And the group itself made the whole experience better and more memorable. (I don't think the above options capture what I'm really feeling by the way, it was no holiday - it was hard. But it also wasn't underwhelming. Perhaps you need overwhelming as an option! I guesst it was life-changing, but I wouldn't do it again.)

Hiking to Laguna Certo Castillo we climbed through forest into prairie into shrubbery mountain and finally pure rock mountains. The landscape change was drastic and beautiful.
