Being at the top of Cape Horn was emotional. I had no idea that it would have been so wonderful. However, the entire trip made a most memorable moment in my life.

There were many amazing moments of the trip, but the Perito Moreno glacier was remarkable. I have never seen anything like it. The hike up to Laguna de los Tres was also wonderful.

Our trek in La Tierra Del Fuego! This was by far the very best led by the best guides, Sebastian and Marine. Their knowledge, their experience, their love for the land and their work as guides made it even more special!

Staying at EcoPosada was wonderful as they offered us excursions outside normal hours (ie.very early am boat ride) and allowed our group of 4 to split up to do different activities. 3 of us enjoyed an afternoon horseback ride while one went for more birding. There were an extremely large number of birds which delighted the birders in our group. Iguazu Falls was breathtaking and made Niagara Falls look small in comparison.

The day spent with a private driver and guide exploring different areas of the park - spoting different animals, gaining a better understanding of the geologic history of the park, and hiking to viewpoints. This was a quiet and peaceful day where we saw few others. Personally, I enjoyed the solitude of this day over the heavily occupied trek to the base of the Towers. (That was still a good day but with so many people, it was hard to stop on the trail and just take in the view)

Highlight - climbing to the base of the towers. Landscape - nice, nothing unique. Opinion would be weather dependent. People - lovely. What will you tell? - worth a trip if part of a wider SA tour. Surprises? None Magical moment - arriving at the base of the towers (Torres) in glorious sunshine so could witness in all its glory. Also got a suite, with jacuzzi in the hotel - VERY welcome after two 22Km days!

All the trip was beyond my expectations. I think it was just being present in both Argentina (El Chalatan) and in Chile (ecodomes). The place, the scenery, the animals, the vegetation, all of it.

There were numerous memorable moments, but likely the best was reaching the top of the trail to Torres del Paine. It was very empowering from a physical standpoint to know that the months of hiking had been culminated in this amazing hike up and up and then up some more through boulders to reach the view at the top!
