Looking up through the clear ceiling skylight of our Ecocamp igloo in the middle of the night, in absolute darkness at the base of the majestic Torres del Paine mountains and seeing the Southern Cross shining brightly directly above me! I was now living in the Southern Cross instead of observing the stars at last!

Hiking to the base of the Torres del Paine in the rain and snow (10 cm!!). The challenge of that weather and still doing it was really satisfying. We were up and down in record time, (too cold and no view to enjoy) and greeted at the end with a drink.

We really enjoyed the day of puma tracking. We finally found a family of 4 with about 30 minutes of daylight left. The winds were extreme, so being blown off the trail and the constant impact to the eco domes, the Australis, and Zodiacs will live long in our memories. It added an unexpected level of excitement and awareness to the adventure!
