Our guide in Santiago was very good, he was engaging, nice and fun to be with! We had an individual at Explora Atacama (Andres) who ran the Horseback Riding Excursions that set up a special ride for us since we were not basic riders and not advanced riders either. His ride was an intermediate ride, and it made our trip!!

Three destinations and three main moments— in Argentina probably the hike to puesto cagliero but I also enjoyed the Fitz Roy hike. In Chile it was the French trek And I loved the entire Easter island experience!!

There were a lot of great experiences and amazing sunrises, sunsets, and mountain vistas. I would say the pinnacle of the adventure was climbing to the towers in Torres del Paine. It is a long trek but seeing the Torres with the lake behind was stunning. I would have loved to have hiked up halfway and spent the night in Chileno Refugio, left early and saw the sunrise at the Torres. Maybe another time if we can do it again.

So many…the friendly people, the dedication of all our guides to conservation and education, the Torres at sunrise, the first Quanco…and the 100th, a Hairy Armadillo, the glaciers, landing at Cape Horn on my Birthday, Buenos Aires…did I mention the people?
